When I started to expand Armada to the Galactica-Universe, I didn't have a 3D-Printer. But I remembered
that I built myself a model of the Galactica from balsa-wood as a kid und that was totally sufficient for
me at that time. As my skills have grown since than I ecided to build a new Galactica. This model is made
of Styrodur, coated with paper, cardboard and some wood. By now I could easily print myself a new version
of this ship, but I spent too much time building this model to replace it.

Als ich anfangen wollte, Armada mit Schiffen aus dem Battlestar-Universum zu ergänzen, hatte ich
keinen 3D-Drucker. Ich habe mich daran erinnert, daß ich mir als Kind ein Modell der Galactica
aus Balsaholz gebastelt habe und das mir das damals vollkommen gereicht hat. Nachdem ich viel besser
geworden bin, sollte also ein neues Modell auch zum "spielen" ausreichen. Diese Galactica ist aus Styrodur,
ummantelt mit Papier, Pappe und Holzstückchen. Mittlerweile könnte ich mir einfach eine neue
Galactica drucken, aber in diesem Modell steckt zu viel Zeit, um es zu ersetzen.
